Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics of the Journal of Green Engineering for Sustainability
Greeners: Journal of Green Engineering for Sustainability is a journal managed by the Faculty of Engineering, published twice a year (April and September). This journal is published in an online version (ISSN 3025-6895). The purpose of this publication is to gather information regarding ideas, theories, and applications containing the results of engineering research, particularly green engineering. These research results may take the form of products, designs, concepts, and specific methods that can be explained scientifically, aiming to maintain environmental ecosystems, minimize risks to human health, and uphold sustainability and economic efficiency.
The ethical code statement in this scientific publication serves as a code of ethics for all parties involved in the publishing process—namely the journal managers, editors, peer reviewers, and authors. The core values upheld by this Code of Ethics are:
(i) Neutrality – free from conflicts of interest in the management of publications;
(ii) Fairness – granting authorship rights to those entitled to be authors;
(iii) Integrity – free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publication.
Publisher's Code of Ethics
- The publisher of the Journal of Green Engineering for Sustainability under the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Universal, is responsible for publishing manuscripts that have undergone editing, reviewing, and layout processes in accordance with the guidelines or standards of scientific journal publication.
- The publisher is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and peer reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.
- The publisher is also responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property, copyright, and editorial freedom.
Editor's Code of Ethics
- Editors of the Journal of Green Engineering for Sustainability are responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings that comply with applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.
- In the review and acceptance process, the editorial team adheres to the principle of equal treatment in making decisions to publish manuscripts without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the author.
- Editors and the editorial team will not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts without the author’s permission.
- Unpublished manuscripts will not be used in the editor's own research and will be returned directly to the author.
Peer Reviewer’s (Mitrabestari) Code of Ethics
- Peer reviewers of the Journal of Green Engineering for Sustainability assist editors in reviewing and making editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts.
- Peer reviewers are responsible for the recommendations they provide regarding the manuscripts they review.
- Manuscript reviews are conducted objectively and supported by clear arguments.
- Peer reviewers are responsible for identifying citations, references, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism in the manuscripts they review.
- Peer reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not use any information from the manuscripts for personal gain or interest.
Author’s Code of Ethics
- Authors must ensure that all individuals listed as authors meet the criteria for authorship.
- Authors must present their manuscripts clearly, honestly, and free from duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.
- Authors are responsible for the confirmation of the manuscript content they have submitted.
- Authors must properly cite the ideas and works of others and reference at least one article from the Journal of Green Engineering for Sustainability as a primary or additional reference.
- Authors must write their manuscripts ethically, honestly, and responsibly, in accordance with established scientific writing standards.
- Authors are collectively responsible for the work and content of the manuscript/article, including methods, analyses, calculations, and details.
- Authors agree to the editing of their manuscripts during the review and layout process, as long as the substance or main idea of the manuscript is not changed.
- Authors must respond to comments from peer reviewers professionally and in a timely manner by making revisions.
- Authors must notify the editor if they wish to withdraw their manuscript, either by email or phone.
